New location update.
I have met with Councillor Hill for updates on the new 3,000 square foot space for our group at the Barrhaven Town Centre. Planning continues at the City level, incorporating the planning documents that we submitted in 2019 (see Newletter Tab, first two files).
I hope to have an update to share with Members in the near future.

We will stop at the Spectacle Lake Lodge for a delicious lunch. A truly relaxing and enjoyable day!$145 Transportation, Lunch, All taxesFor anyone interested in the October 1st bus trip, you will need to call Elizabeth at 613-723-5701 to see if there are any seats left.
6. Cell Phone ChargesAs any of us have been in different parts of the country this summer, please consider checking your cell phone bill for "roaming charges" even though you never set foot on U.S. soil. In various parts of Canada close to the U.S. border, your phone may connect with a cell tower in the U.S. This happens to me every year when travelling through N.B. - sometimes in Southern Ontario along the St. Lawrence River - etc.If you notice a charge on your bill, please call your provider to have the charge reversed. Most carriers will do so once they check your cell phone records to determine that you were not in the U.S.
7. "Development of a new City of Ottawa’s Older Adult Plan
Older Adult demographics, needs, and resources have changed considerably since 2012. To reflect the findings from the Evaluation Report, and to adapt to new and emerging needs from older adults, the City is engaging in the development of a new iteration of the Older Adult Plan.
We want to hear from you!
To create the new Older Adult Plan, City staff will consult with residents, community agencies, and City staff to determine the priorities and structure needed to facilitate the implementation of a new plan.
We are seeking your input to learn about what it is like for older adults living in Ottawa.
The information you provide will inform the City of Ottawa's Older Adult Plan. The new strategy will be launched in 2025.
Your opinion matters, and we value your insights. Please complete the survey using the link provided in the survey section below. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Please note: Registered participants can save any survey progress and return at a later time to resume. However, anyone that has not registered for an account, would not be able to save their progress.
The Survey will be open until September 30, 2024.
If you have questions about this survey or the new Older Adult Plan, email olderadults@ottawa.ca "
